KFC launched its TopUp sandwich campaign online and were approximately 5000 fans away from hitting 400k mark. The concept had to be innovative and exciting to attract new fans while keeping current fans entertained.
Custom app was developed and coined as “KFC TopUp to 400k fans”. The app automatically refreshed the cover image each time a fan increment was achieved. Additionally a code would be generated for fans to enter a sweepstake.
KFC brand mentions and engagement results within the 8 week campaign period grew by 33%. The page attracted 8,000 new fans within the same period. All other social media channels including in-event saw an increase in participation resulting from higher viewership on the page.
